Sometimes something comes along and gives women a license to be extra fabulous. Certain things spring to mind like high heels, Jackie O, Paris Hilton’s hair extensions and of course Carrie Bradshaw and her besties. GirlFriendCircles.com hosted a sold out VIP screening of Sex and the City 2 on Wednesday. Hundreds of lucky women got a sneak peak at the movie before it was released to the public.
GirlFriendCircles.com is an online community created by Shasta Nelson. From the website you immediately see their goal is “introducing awesome women and inspiring real friendships.” The night they put on was the perfect atmosphere to bring together a great group of ladies and generate excitement. Like Sex and the City 2, GirlFriendCircles.com celebrated the mindset that takes living to the next level.
The experience started with two VIP pre-parties at Toss Designs and Benefit Cosmetics. Guests shopped and sampled appetizers, champagne, and cupcakes. Toss Designs is a lifestyle store. If yours involves being fabulous than this is the store for you. It featured photography books like, A Privileged Life, In the Spirit of St. Tropez and others on Marilyn, Balenciaga and Dior. Accompanying the fun flip-throughs were accessories to compliment the ideal. Over at Benefit it was glam and gloss. Pampering was happening at every station. Wherever you looked beauty professionals tended to already polished faces.
Women were everywhere. Lots of ladies took the opportunity to dress up the occasion. It was a sea of stilettos with the expected cocktail dress here and there. Carrie Bradshaw knows that what you wear can have a huge impact on how you feel. So do the people at Dress for Success. The organization was a happy participant of the event with a proceed of the funds going back to the non-profit.
At the movie theatre flash bulbs were ablaze on the red carpet as everyone got their time in the spotlight. The folks at Deer Ridge Vineyards were at the other end making sure there was wine and bubbly for a job well done. Upstairs Cocoa-luxe served up artfully delectable delicacies. Inside the theatre the spirit of shopping continued. A table the length of the room was filled with raffle prizes associated with the movie. From start to finish the night was full of reasons why being a woman is so much fun.
