The women who attended were a much smaller group but were more confident and relaxed than the usual gatherings. They stood out like rare cherished heirloom jewelry. The queens and costumes were also small in quantity but immaculate and refined in quality. People were the best versions of themselves Sunday night.
The only let down among the crowd was the Audi give away. The $40 raffle tickets were positioned as a free car sweepstakes. Guests were disappointed as it was announced right before picking the winner that the prize was a two-year lease give-away. “If it weren’t such a great cause there may have been more of an uproar” was overheard. Lady Gaga saved the day as the music began playing overhead and the crowd turned to the dance floor.
