The untimely death of Robyn Whitehead, socialite and heiress to the Goldsmith dynasty, is now leading police to question singer Pete Doherty. Ms. Whitehead is the granddaughter of The Ecologist Magazine founder, Teddy Goldsmith.

Ms. Whitehead was found dead of a suspected drug overdose in an East London flat. She had been filming a documentary about Doherty, a singer and drug addict. Doherty is the lead singer for Babyshambles and has often been linked to Supermodel, Kate Moss. Doherty will likely questioned by police after spending time with Ms. Whitehead at her flat the night before she died.

Pete is no stranger to legal matters. This is the third time in weeks that Pete has been involved in troublesome events. He was recently fined $1,200 after dropping a bag of heroin on the floor at a hearing for reckless driving. He was also involved in an incident with Mark Blanco at a party. Mark later fell to his death and police are investigating whether he was unlawfully killed.

Doherty was rumored to have dated Ms. Whitehead prior to her death. While some are quick to judge Doherty for luring her into a lifestyle of drugs and partying, some sources reveal that the 27-year-old had been struggling with heroin addiction before meeting Doherty.
