Caution! Leaked Adam Lambert clip may cause palpitations

Since that fateful night when Ryan Seacrest murmured those stupefying words: "Kris Allen," Adam Lambert fans have been craving the merest glimpse of glitter and Glambert 'gale-force' vocals. Many even braved the  American Idol summer tour, enduring the presence of Megan Joy, simply to hear 'Mad World' once again.

Now, trending on Twitter yesterday and bubbling up all over message boards and youtube, is the news legions of passionistas (including moi) have been feverishly awaiting -- an 86 second 'leak' is now working its viral magic across the Interwebs.  (We'll have to wait a bit longer for the whole song which won't be available until October 20.) In the meantime, the musical powers-that-be have teased us with a first look at the Adam Lambert "Time for Miracles" video from the 2012 movie soundtrack.

The epic disaster flick is directed by Roland Emmerich and features John Cusack, Amanda Peet, and a stable of sympathetic stars facing the usual death, destruction and dripping mascara endemic to the end of the world.  But this time, the utter demise of life-as-we-know-it is accompanied by Adam declaring “So nothing can stop me from trying.”  After that,  (in the lyrical words of EW's Michael Slezak), "the bombast kicks in — the kind of building, building, building, nod-your-head, power-chordian crescendo you’d expect"  from what’s rumored to be the closing-credits cut to the year’s big-budget apocalyptic disaster flick. Then we hear the start of the chorus — “Baby you know that maybe it’s time for miracles/ ‘Cause I ain’t givin’ up on love/ You know that maybe it’s time for miracles…”

C'mon, how bad can certain death be when accompanied by the soaringly sexy falsetto of Glambert?

Adam's debut album, set for release on November 24, 2009, has been riding high on Amazon's Top Sellers list for weeks. And more good news:  Adam recently tweeted that he's working with producer Greg Wells, one of the powers behind Katy Perry's breakthrough album. No surprise there, given Katy's caped tribute to Adam on Idol.

How is it possible for one man to be so articulate, gracious, humble and yet mega talented, hot, fierce and sexy? OMG how can we possibly wait longer or one of his songs to be released? TFM is stunning. Still eagerly waiting to hear "strut" or whatever single he releases first from his album. What are they waiting for? Kris Allen, Susan Boyle and Allison Iraheta have released singles. Adam we can't wait!

Amazing. Had to play it over and over again. Adam will rock the world with his cd and I will buy whatever he releases. Saw him in concert this summer and he blew the roof off with Whole Lotta Love, grabbed us by our hearts with Mad World and melted everyone with Starlight. Mega Mega talented does not begin to describe Adam Lambert. Glittery alien from planet fierce, his brother's description of him, fits best. Can't get enough of this shining, glittery alien. Awesome!

One mistake, The words are, "Baby you know that maybe it’s time for miracles/ ‘Cause I ain’t givin’ up on US/ You know that maybe it’s time for miracles…” ". So it's "Ain't givin up on US", you have "ain't givin up on love."

The song is amazing...very smart marketing move to have Adam Lambert singing the theme song. Many people who wouldn't normally have gone to the movie will now go just to hear Adam in surround sound! (including ME :)

Well, I know the sneak peek definitely put me into an Adam frenzy!!! The fans over at The Glambert Rock have been buzzing about it all weekend.

At least Time for Miracles will give us another chance to enjoy Adam's beautiful voice until his first single from his album is released. And I am very glad it will bring his amazing talent to a broader audience. He deserves all the success that is coming to him.
