Children are learning to use computers at much younger ages in this day and age.
Even still, diligent parents make it a point to monitor the online activity of their children; paying attention to what sites they visit, with whom they interact online and even how long each day that they use the computer.
With the influx of social media, many children want to stay connected with their friends online.

I think ideally 18, but that isn't realistic these days.. especially with what you said.. kids being on computers younger and younger. I think 16 is an alright age. I'm afraid of my children. I know how I am with computers. They are going to be computer genius' by the time they are 5.. I'll have to let them online lol
Thanks, scodal, for your input. It almost seems children are coming out of the womb with a mouse in one hand an a keyboard in the other. Haha. Social media is here to stay, I would venture to say.
My son likes to play the games. He plays them with his grandmother online. He doesn't have any friends onnline except the adults in his life, extended family and friends. I get all the emails and information for the account. It's a great way for him to connect with family members across the country. He's 11.
