How to create a Facebook Page

One of the great things about social media marketing is the abundance of free or cheap technology. You can create a blog, a Twitter account, sign up on a discussion board and do a host of other social media activities -- in a matter of minutes, at no cost.

Literally. Minutes.

Initial content creation in social media is easy. And, often free of any monetary investment.

The trouble for businesses -- and their marketing communications agencies -- is that effective social media marketing is not a campaign. It's an on-going effort.

So, the real cost is time: A commitment to maintain what you've created,  by someone experienced in public relations or related field (though, I'm naturally biased towards PR pros).

Still, you have to get started someplace, some time.

So, I created a seven-page document that details four easy steps on how to create a Facebook Page for your company or organization. I also include valuable tips and links to more information.

You can see and download a pdf of that file at DocStoc.

If you want the file as a Word file, have any feedback or questions, please don't hesitate to leave a comment or email me.

 Thank you.

I wished I'd had this when I started the page for The Ability Center. A basic primer would have been really great!

I'm going to bookmark this one.

    Barb,
You should've called me! (Kidding -- mostly) Glad you found the info of value. While it sounds like it was a bit rough at first, you always can edit and change. Good luck.

Bookmarked. Definitely will save me some time when dealing with certain clients.
