This morning I woke up to find I had received an email stating that I was listed as one of Rhode Island top 50 tweeters. Not breaking news, I know. But then I wondered based on what. After browsing the list I realized it was based on followers. Not engaging or content.
The last article I wrote was entitled, ENGAGE to be engaging. Based on the information I discovered, my goal was to discover who were the top 10 of that top 50 list based on tweets, content & engaging an audience; and not just from the amount of followers one has.
*note Providence_Jobs usually does not engage- they only post jobs- important in RI at this time)

Media, marketing, engaging, networking and public relations takes effort. While I was surprised that my rank in Rhode Island was higher than expected; I can say from experience that it takes a lot of work to be engaging in this social media world. Just ask anyone listed above.
While it is nice to have stats & lists and top this and top that articles- at the end of the day it is about people.
These are the movers and shakers who have walked the walk and not just talked the talk when it comes to engaging. I would want them on my team- CONGRATS everyone.
