There is yet another Facebook scam on the loose, this one is in the form of an email that asks you to reset your Facebook password. It also prompts you to open an attachment in the email in order to give you your new password.
Do NOT open the attachment. It is yet another malware scam.
The McAfee Security blog has a warning up that the email is a scam. If you open the attachment, you'll open yourself up to a host of problems. This includes giving the scammer access to all of the usernames and passwords in your computer, not just your Facebook log-in and password.
The following is a sample of the password reset scam alert email from McAfee.

According to the McAfee blog, "this threat is potentially very dangerous considering that there are over 400 million Facebook users who could fall for this scam. This is also the sixth most prevalent piece of malware targeting consumers in the last 24 hours, as tracked by McAfee Labs."
Facebook would never send an email of this nature and "Dear user of facebook" in the first line is a good indication that this is a spam email. Delete the email completely.

Thanks once again for the warnings! Always on top of things:)
I wish I had the power to figure out who has the time to make out these scams!
Thank you so much for the warning and I will be tweeting this right now!
Thanks, Jennifer!
Thanks, Jennifer!
Thanks a lot I'll let my people know of this in P.R
Thank you! It's nice to know someone is "watching out" behind the scene! Thanks again! Smile! Peace.
I got this scam the day before yesterday! Deleted without opening after checking that my old password works!
Great report ... I am working on a story (with HD video) about online crime, look for in the next week or so.
I guess I'll won't be using f/b as much might delete the account.
Got something to say?
