Rush Limbaugh dances to Lady Gaga Poker Face at Miss America 2010 (VIDEO)

The talent portion of the 2010 Miss America Pageant had a very unlikely contestant: Rush Limbaugh.  The ultra-conservative political commentator was a pageant judge and his dance moves to the song Poker Face by Lady Gaga are worthy of some sort of crown or dunce cap.

Limbaugh is known for judging everyone, never in a good way. His presence as a judge at the 2010 Miss America Pageant had to be for ratings because there is no other explanation. Unless he agreed to judge the event so he could show off his dance moves, or lack of them.

Is a stint on Dancing with the Stars next for Limbaugh? Not likely if you've seen the video of the radio talk-show host gone wild as he attempts to have a dance-off with other judges at the 2010 Miss America Pageant.

Watch it if you must: Rush Limbaugh Dancing to Lady Gaga goes viral on YouTube. If you call that dancing.

It would be nice if the writer of the article could keep her political opinion to herself when she talks about Rush. Try to know more about him and what a great guy he is.

The point of writing is to voice an opinion. If it's a straight news piece then no opinion is necessary. However, that's not what I write so opinions are welcome---in comments and in my writing. My political opinion is not anywhere in the article. It's a very mild opinion of Rush Limbaugh, mind you. :-) Why do I need to say what a great guy he is if I don't think so? :)

Who wrote this "new article"? Rush judges people with high praise when deserved but always with an honest assessment. The writer forgot to note that Rush is deaf and is probably dancing to the feel of the music. Rush would have written this article in a much fairer way than Cheryl Phillips, even as the subject of the piece.

Like usual, an unimfored and biased writer who is clueless and would believe anything she reads from the liberal media. Rush is a conservative and there is nothing wrong with that. I have never seen the liberals referred to as "ultra liberal." It is like Rush says, we are dealing with mind numb robots.

The social (ist) media examiner; appears to be GREEN with ENVY and HATE. It is highly unlikely, the old bag; will be asked to judge Dancing With The Stars or judge anything for that matter.

They learned from the last fiasco with Perez Hilton that they can't have just have anybody to judge contestants in the pageant. They need judges who could put political biases out of the show. It's not just for the ratings, it's for the sanity.

You wrote, "My political opinion is not anywhere in the article."

I think it's cute that you think that's true. But it's not. Your disdain for Rush Limbaugh is dripping across this article, which is nothing more than an opportunity to make fun of a man you don't like.

The point of writing is not to voice an opinion. The point of writing in a NEWSPAPER is to report the news. Nowhere in your article does it state you're writing an opinion piece, thus anyone reading it will assume it's a news piece. Also, if you ever actually listened to Rush, you would know he does judge people regularly, although fairly. There is nothing wrong with that. You also imply Rush isn't intelligent enough to judge a pagent, which is ludicrous. "His presence as a judge at the 2010 Miss America Pageant had to be for ratings because there is no other explanation." Your article comes off as snipey and angry, not at all "mild".

What a pompous, arrogant ass! I boycotted the Pageant because or Limbaugh. He has made millions criticizing, degrading, and bashing anyone who doesn't buy into his views. He even hopes that our President, and thus our Country fails. Now tat's a real patriot! I will admit, he is a pretty good orator. Of course, so was Hitler. Hmmm. I wonder... the third and last anti-Christ?

And there it is ladies and gentlemen! The inevitable "Hitler" mention. It seems any political opinion these days eventually degrades to Hitler, whether it be libs vs cons or vice versa. I honestly haven't seen any major U.S. figure, on either side, who comes close to the Nazi point of view.

THE point of writing isn't necessarily to express an opinion. "A" point of writing is. It can also be to tell a story (no opinion needed but not taboo either) or report news (no opinion should be given).

Given that, nowhere do I see that Examiner.com attempts to be a wholly-news source, so I see no need for Cheryl to have to present that it is an opinion piece as I would in, say, the New York Times outside of the editorial section. After all, neither Rush nor Bill Maher present at the opening of each show that what you are about to hear is opinion. You do have to consider the source. In short, outside of news, EXPECT opinion. It's a RIGHT!

For those complaining that this article is not journalism, you are wasting your time. The entire Examiner site is not journalism. It is merely content written mostly by amateurs along with some moonlighting professionals and designed to get page views. That is it. This is not the Wall Street Journal or a reputable local newspaper. So don't get too uptight about anything you read here, especially this particular article - which, if it belonged anywhere, it belonged on a personal blog. If you are feeling really upset, then how about sending a few bucks to your local newspaper (if it is still worthy) so that we are not left with sites like this one giving us "news."

News is no longer simply reported in America. It is difficult to find a “journalist” that is not an editorialist disguised in a bygone definition of journalism. Ms Phillips aptly demonstrates this in her article along with her clear dislike of Rush Limbaugh. So, fine, she doesn’t like him...that's not really the issue. What is truly abhorrent about Ms Phillips’ sniping is the underhanded way that she selectively uses, abuses, or withholds information to create a distorted portrait of – not the public personality of Rush Limbaugh – but the person. She declares that “Limbaugh is known for judging everyone, never in a good way.” This is a misleading statement for at least two reasons. Rush does not judge people; rather he judges their politics, their actions, and their statements. Second, any writer worth a damn knows better than to make statements about conditions that exist “always” and “never.” Judging from this article, I will not be reading any more of Ms Phillips’ opinions.

Limbaugh is known for judging everyone, never in a good way - your opinion is... yours! But that's what it is opinion. Rush is listened to, and loved by millions more than ever read this column or this writer. Fact!
