National Weed Day, Stoners Day, 420, 4:20, 4/20: whatever name it is given, it's a big day for pot smokers around the word. April 20 is National Weed Day celebrated by many a pot head.
Whether stoners want to be entertained by Seth MacFarlane's Family Guy video of the "Bag of Weed Song" or rally behind Cheech & Chong for the legalization of marijuana, the topic is a high priority for marijuana fans.
How did the term 420 start? In 1971, the term was started by a group of teenagers at San Rafael High School in San Rafael, California.
The teens would meet after school at 4:20 p.m. to smoke marijuana at the Louis Pasteur statue. The group allegedly called itself the Waldos because its members hung out by a wall after school.
Twitter is buzzing with "Happy 420 Day" wishes, with some who have no idea what that means and others learning first hand about weed day because social media spreads the word faster than any news site could.

Marijuana might be a hot topic on the Internet today due to 420 day, but the serious side of cannabis comes with the growing approval for the medicinal use of the plant. It is already legal in a growing amount of countries, including Australia, Belgium, Canada, the Netherlands, and 13 states of the United States.
The legalization of medical marijuana is important for many who suffer from illnesses such as cancer, Aids, Lou Gehrig’s disease, muscular dystrophy or multiple sclerosis.

To confuse South Park with Family Guy is like confusing Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. They are completely different shows, made by completely different people with completely different styles and themes.
It's bad reporting and bad editing. I can't believe you get paid to put out this crap.
And I'm the one who has been smoking weed today...I should be the one making the major blunders!
Obviously I should start smoking pot because I screwed up. Yes, I made a mistake and was talking "South Park" with my son while I wrote the article...and I MADE A MISTAKE when I was typing. Further reason for me to maybe look into taking medication for the issue I have with making a human error. UGH. What is this world coming to? Stoners are calling me out! Fortunately, I corrected my error before I got bound, gagged and publicly tortured by South Park vs Family Guy fans. My bad, I'm only familiar with Mickey Mouse...and I made an error. To me, South Park and Family Guy are pretty much the same...so relax. Roll something illegal and smoke it....over reacting about a freaking name shows that you need medical somethingorother---or a life.
