There was life before YouTube but was it better that way? We didn't see videos go viral about people that are supposed to be representing our country. People like Max Baucus, the U.S. Sentaor from Montana. Some are speculating that Democratic Senator Max Baucus is drunk in the video (below) where he is seen ranting like a mad man on the Senate floor debate on healthcare.
Max Baucus is the current chairman of the United States Senate Committee on Finance and is influential in the debate over health care reform in the United States.
Is this just another viral rumor gone wild or was Max Baucus drunk on the Senate floor? Could it be that Baucus is just passionate and ranting about the health care topic or did he have a bit too much of the holiday punch? Do we tend to believe what we hear before we take a look and evaluate on our own?

Having lived in Montana for 28 years and having watched the video of Mr. Bacaus trying to speak while in some kind of induced stupor, I must say he is an embarrassment to Montana, and to the US Senate. There is no alternative to the Dem Health Care because many of us don't want the government in the health care business at all. They can't financially run Amtrak; US Postal, S.S. or any thing else when it comes to financial issues. Health care won't fare any better!
It sounds like what he is trying to say is that neither party can work together. So we the people should just vote them all out of office, and yea he is drunk.

I think Max drank his courage!! I've seen/heard him speak before...to me, he's definitely been into the liquid courage. What an embarrassment to our great state of Montana!!! Does the government always think they can do a better job of running our lives than we can on our own?! Don't take away any more of our freedoms to decide for ourselves and don't add to our already HUGE tax burden!
Yeah, he's smashed. I've heard him speak a lot and he doesn't normally slur words like that. He has no shame, but then most of them don't.
Don't even care if he's drunk. He's making very valid points. There was no help whatsover from the Republican side of the aisle to achieve reform ... other than that from the initial 3 Senators that dropped out in order to tow the party line. Health care is a necessary service we ought to be able to count on ... not unlike transportation, defense and education. The government should play a key role in it ... as well as the private sector.

You have to be drunk in order to think this bill is a good bill. Good acting in trying to keep a straight face telling the American public this will bend the cost curve and reduce premiums. It is like Chris Farley trying to get into a 36 Reg suit coat. It is going to happen.
I do believe the boy is pie-eyed on the floor of the senate! First the dems give us a third-rate comedian and now a adulterous drunkard!
