When I first heard about Google Buzz, my first thought was "What is that, an energy drink?" When I found out it was a social networking feature from the fine folks at Google, I shrugged. After all, I wasn't exactly blown away by Google Wave (although I have come to warm up to it a little bit, although I haven't used it in days). However, Google Buzz has some neat features that are actually pretty interesting.
One of the best features is that it's integrated into your Gmail inbox. This of course means you don't have to deal with a separate tab on your browser to use the features. Also, while it build it's own social network between you and anyone you may have emailed who also uses Gmail, you can incorporate your existing Twitter, Picasa and, I'm going to assume, Facebook accounts.
And, best of all, the most popular posts are indicated with a picture of a taco. That, my friends, is awesome.
It's still rolling out and I haven't gotten a chance to use it. Once I do, I'll post up my thoughts on it. In the meantime, check out a video of the service here. It's not nearly as long as the Google Wave video.
