Sounder James Riley poses with Kyle when the "Mile High Boys" supported the Sounders in Denver earlier this year.
UPDATE: Here are two photos from last night's moment of silence for Kyle.

From earlier:
Seattle Sounders FC's supporters group the Emerald City Supporters will sit quietly just before tonight's kick off between the Sounders and the New England Revolution. They will do this in honor of Kyle Thigpen, a Sounders fan and "Mile High Boy" who died unexpectedly on Monday from a heart attack.
Kyle's Flickr.com photo page of the Sounders' visit to Denver in May is still online. The photos here are from Kyle's page.
The ECS talked in their forums this week about how to remember Kyle. They are not asking for stadium-wide involvement, but individual fans can do so if they wish. When the south end goes quiet tonight, you'll know that it was for Kyle.

Kyle and his daughter display their love for the Sounders.
Kyle worked for Alaska Airlines in Seattle for a while as his aviation career took off.
Most-recently he was employed by Great Lakes Airlines, according to his LinkedIn profile.

RIP, Kyle. You've got your wings now.
This is very sad news. Tonight I will sit down for as long as the ECS does.
Yes Kyle Thigpen worked at Alaska Airlines. We will truly miss him, our prayers are with his family!
sit quietly in your seat for Kyle just after the national anthem. look toward the brougham end for the cue, you'll see a single two-pole up in his memory.
RIP Kyle
Kyle- we love you, there is nothing more to say. I've known you now for almost 9 years, and you were an absolutely great guy. The world is a little emptier without you in it now, and you will be greatly missed. Di and Sophia- you were loved so much.
Condolences from Portland. We lost one of our own earlier this year and it still hurts.
Kyle died unexpectedly of a blood clot. He was an airline captain, but his death was in no way related to aviation. Please get your facts straight before speculating in a public forum.
Thank you for the information. I will adjust this article accordingly.
Kyle's autopsy showed that he had heart disease. The disease caused Kyle to have a heart attack. Prior to this tragic event our family was unaware this ran in our family.
Patti, I am so sorry for your loss and also regret that information about Kyle's passing has been only trickling in to us since this original story was posted. Thank you for the clarification and my thoughts are with your family and all of Kyle's friends.
