The second installment of the comedy Steamboat was not as funny as the first and that was alright. This is a parody of a dying soap and as such will be more than comedy. It deals with the vagaries the soap world. Of ego and artistic tempermant. As such it is funny when it shows the characters cattiness and jealousy as well as the constant contest between the actors.
This I think goes a bit beyond reality going for the ridiculous but it does represent the behind the scenes of a soap and as such it is fun.
Beth Chamberlain is a Biotch on wheels and jealous of any woman in her path. Micheal O'Leary is funny making excuses for his being slightly overweight and his sexiness. Kim Zimmer is a frighteningly serious Director/ Producer???and she is magnificent.
Kurt McKinnney plays the romantic interest of Beth C's and a womanizer leading to BC's jealousy.
Sounds like what can be happening behind the scenes of your favorite soap?
Stay tuned because this is just the beginning and I cannot wait for the next chapter.
Kudos to Scott Bryce and Michael O'Leary for bringing us this fresh new web soap.
