Ahhh, it's becoming more and more apparent over at Guiding Light that Olivia's desires are getting to her. Nobody could pull these scenes off like Cyrstal Chappel and it's got to leave you wondering when Natalia is going to get the fact that Olivia is slightly frustrated.
Olivia begins her day by munching on one of the cookies she made with Natalia (can't get those Snicker Doodles off her mind) and calls to tell her how much fun she had yesterday. She can't figure out if it was the fact that she volunteered to help others or if it was simply because of Natalia. Natalia of course doesn't answer the phone forcing Olivia to leave a voice mail.
Sure, Natalia is quite distracted with Rafe's issues right now, but she really should be thinking just a little about herself and her needs as well, don't you think? Rafe is turning into a punk and I hope he at least finds a job soon so Natalia can have a few seconds to herself.
Blake is a completely terrific character. Olivia shows up to buy a cup of coffee and has to practically rip the steamy romance novel Blake is reading out of her hands just to get her attention. Blake chats with Olivia and mentions how she thinks she's a little off lately. Olivia becomes flustered and insists she's just fine. She takes off and experiences some car trouble.
She pops the hood because she thinks that's what your supposed to do when you have car trouble. Naturally, Joshua comes along and offers a hand and well--a whole lot more than that. Say it aint so, right? These two have a very flirtatious nature when they are together but by the same token they completely understand each other. The conversation between Liv and Josh as he attempts to figure out what's wrong with her vehicle is full of comical sexual innuendos. You have to see it for yourself.
Olivia decides to do some yoga and she's on the floor mat in some sort of dog looking ar the sky position attempting to bond with the earth while allowing her body hit to the floor but it's clearly not relieving any of her stress or releasing any of that sexual tension building inside her. She gives up and takes off once again to check out some sex toys for herself. As she is attempting to decide which one to purchase, Blake happens upon her once again. Blake is more than amused but offers up her understanding by telling her, "a girls got to do what a girls got to do." We really need more Blake on this show.

Yes, more Blake, please, and some Flake or Blank would be great. She really shone in this episode and I hope she will get more air time before Sept 18...

And, that Jolivia kiss wasn't so scary after all -- I didn't even cover my eyes. It was still all kinds of wrong, but at least Liv knows that for sure now.
M. Patience - First of all, let me tell you how much I appreciate your support. You are a faithful reader and I appreciate it so much.
I am really relieved you did not stroke out over that Jolivia liplock. Crystal has such great range. She goes from a tear jerking cemetery scene right into the comedy without a hitch.
I totally believe Blake rocked today and Frank even carried up that big jar of olives for her--so perhaps they will connect.

Whoo hoo! Watching Olivia today was such a treat, great distillation of what's going on within Olivia as she tries to figure out exactly what's changed about herself. Thanks for writing about these great scenes!
GREAT article as usual----thanks for the coverage of the GIRLS. I agree that Blake is great, but not if her stalking of Olivia gets in the way of some relief for poor Liv!!!
Have you realized how she never answers to Olivia's calls? I saw Olivia letting her voicemails ...2 times? maybe 3... but they never show Natalia actually replying to her!

About the Josh thing...I did not like it at all! :) I mean I did not like the kiss!
Was a funny episode! It is normal to have desires and it is normal to feel attraction towards someone else but the one you are with but...it still not an excuse for me why she kissed him back!
I adored the Yoga time... very funny and adding a vibrator in daytime drama (it did not show it but it's Crystal Clear that was in the box) really fun to watch !

JL - It's frustrating that Natalia never takes Olivia's calls. I think the Josh thing was basically harmless.
Mari - Blake has a way of showing up at the wrong time. I don't think she's stalking Olivia. They seem to enjoy each others company.
LZ - Olivia does seem to be doing some serious soul searching these days.
