As the World Turns
Planet Oakdale has been interesting these days and while it's a stretch, I can't help but wonder if Mick Dante could possibly be a younger version of James Stenbeck brought back from the dead once again looking like a refreshed young buck because of that magical fountain of youth serum. Mick knows so much about Barbara Ryan that in itself is very suggestive of some sort of creepy Stenbeck reincarnation.
This Mick character has managed to generate some interest in his magical product, but the fact that he is having episodes involving frequent nose bleeds and headaches doesn't bode well for Barbara or Emily, who are ready to allow this stranger to test his magical formula on them. If Mick's own symptoms are a result of his using the mysterious serum on himself who knows what could happen? Perhaps I am overreacting, because we all know Oakdale residents are used to side effects.
Initially, Barbara Ryan was convinced that Mick was using her son Paul for his money and she is sure he ultimately intends to disappear with the cash Paul has invested. She tosses him out of her suite as only she can do. In the end however, the feisty cougar woman becomes desperate for a drink from the fountain of youth. Barbara hooks up with Henry and wonders if he's simply stalking the halls or chatting with an imaginary friend. She believes Henry is stressed and she knows how to get him to relax. A very stressed Henry tells her he can't deal with her right now. Barbara assumes Henry thinks she is too old for him and she summons Mick back to her suite as she fantasizes luring Henry back in.
Emily chats with Mick who is sure his serum can make her realize her dream to have a child. Paul walks in on their conversation and quickly gets rid of him. Once Mick exits, Paul tells Emily, while he did invest in the serum he refuses to allow her to become a laboratory experiment for Mick. Emily rushes off and has a conversation with her sister who later tells Mick not to do anything that would let Emily down.
Emily is as interested in Mick's magic as Barbara. If they opt in, the results of this formula will be something to watch, but only time will tell whether or not Stenbeck is still lurking around Oakdale. Brad may not be the only ghost in town these days.
Now, if Mick could just invent a serum to get Meg, Damian and Lily out of town, I would be happy. Long live Molly and Holden!

I just hate that no reference (at least that I've heard) has been made to when Barbara had Carly, Emily, and Rose sent of to Europe to that clinic where they were aged. There was medical technology then that reversed aging, so it would be cool if they connected Mick/Hopefully James(!) to that ATWT history.
Mick, Meg and a serum sounds yummy.
Hope your wish comes true.
I'd love to see Marie Wilson and Tom Pelphrey share some story together. And all the better if Mick is "James".
