In a word – yes! This is great news for fans of Helena Cassadine. The delightful and talented Constance Towers plays the crafty, devious, and dangerous Helena on ABC’s ‘General Hospital.’ She’s a villain we all love to hate and hate to love. Towers brings humor, sarcasm, and class to the character of Helena.
Helena was last seen late last year but she left the canvas much too soon. Word in the soap world is that Towers will be back to pick up where the Cassadine storyline left off. Towers’ publicist, Tommy Garrett, told me recently “Constance is enjoying Toronto, but her fans arrive at the theater asking about Helena and when she’ll be returning to ‘GH.’ It’s all up to the producers and writers, but I can assure Helena fans, Connie will be back sooner than you think.”
Towers is an accomplished actress of stage, screen, and television, with a number of daytime soaps to her credit. Towers recently performed on stage in Toronto in a production of ‘Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks.’ Her co-star in the play was Jason Graae.
