Though there's no word yet on which dancers were selected, So You Think You Can Dance season 6's top 20 contestants were chosen today.
The news came via now-permanent judge Adam Shankman's twitter:
@adammshankman: Crazy! First day back at SYTYCD! Green mile today...always happy and sad. Sharing stage with dwts! It's a dancerpalooza here. (Oct. 12)
SYTYCD judges often refer to top 20 selection day as the "green mile" because the contestants have to walk from the green room to the center stage to hear their fate from the judges. Though the distance is short, it can seem like forever and their life on the show is at risk.
These contestants seem like a shoe in for a top 20 spot:
- Ellenore Scott (contemporary)
- World champion Iveta Lukosiute (ballroom)
- Bianca Revels (tap)
- Nathan Trasoras (hip hop/contemporary)
Here's hoping the following dancers make it because they are so entertaining and talented:
- Legacy (b-boy)
- Russell Ferguson (krump)
- Willem DeVries (ballroom)
So much talent this season! Since this episode is filmed in advance, audiences will have to wait until the end of October to find out which dancers are selected. In the meantime, who do you think should make the cut?

Did anyone see Legacy in the Dance Flick? He's the guy who back-spinned out of the building.
Hi Jeremiah
Was trying to find a good clip of Legacy to post, but couldn't. He was in "Dance Flick" as well as "Stop the Yard," and a "Bring It On" movie with Lil C. He's in Gwen Stefani's "Harajuku Lovers Live" DVD, too.
I meant "Stomp the Yard." :)
