So You Think You Can Dance began Tuesday night's performance round with something clearly missing. Though host Cat Deeley announced the top 8 dancers, only 7 were on stage. Turns out another contestant has been injured this season, and this time it's latin ballroom dancer Ashleigh Di Lello.
After dislocating her shoulder and popping it back in herself, Ashleigh was ready to keep dancing, but her doctor refused to clear her for the night's performance. Much like Noelle Marsh in the first performance episode featuring the top 20, Ashleigh must get an MRI before she can continue in the competition. Her partner was slated to be krumper Russell Ferguson, who was also partnered with Noelle when she was injured.
Audiences were still able to vote for her even though she was replaced by choreographers' assistants during her performances. During the voting clips at the end of the show, shots of Ashleigh dancing in rehearsal were shown and the judges urged viewers to pick up the phone for her based on her past performances, as well as for others they wanted to keep in the competition. Her husband, contestant Ryan Di Lello, also used time after his solo to remind voters to keep her on the show.
This Wednesday is the final elimination before next week's finale, when one of the top 6 dancers will be crowned America's Favorite Dancer.

Last night was SO good, with a lot of great moments! I think my favorite moment however was Travis' expression when Nigel said his routine would be nominated for an Emmy.
