The Holston Valley Green Building Coalition and Johnson City Green Drinks will be hosting the Tri-Cities First Annual Green Building Gala on Thursday, March 25th. The event will take place at the Levy Restaurants Banquet Room at the Bristol Motor Speedway. There will be a cocktail hour from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres being served as well. The dinner and program is scheduled from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
The Holston Valley Green Building Coalition notes:
First off, you may be wondering why we have chosen the Bristol Motor Speedway for a green event! Actually, the office building at the BMS where the event is being held is a green building! It has a very large geothermal heating and cooling system and has a passive solar orientation! The BMS itself has a great recycling program.
The following guest speakers will be featured:
•Kim Shinn, Principle and Director of Sustainable Design, TLC Engineering
•Anthony Flaccavento, Founder, Appalachian Sustainable Development
•Ged Moody, University Sustainability Director, Appalachian State University
Sponsorship packages are still available! These include opportunities to give a five minute "commercial" presentation about your business to the event attendees.
