- The American English Coonhound evolved from descendants of English Coonhounds. This hunting breed has an excellent voice and tremendous endurance and speed. It competes in the Hound Group.
- The Cesky Terrier was developed to be a well-pigmented, short-legged and well-muscled hunting terrier that could be worked in packs. This breed has natural drop ears, a natural tail and is longer than it is tall. It competes in the Terrier Group.
- The Entlebucher Mountain Dog is a native of Switzerland and the smallest of the Swiss breeds. This medium-sized drover has a short, tri-colored coat with symmetrical markings. It will compete in the Herding Group.
- The Finnish Lapphund is a reindeer herding dog from the northern parts of Scandinavia. This former helper dog of ancient tribes is now popular as a family pet in its native Finland. It will compete in the Herding Group.
- The Norwegian Lundehund spent centuries hunting puffin birds. It has at least six toes on each foot for stability in areas where puffins nest. It competes in the Non-Sporting Group.
- Last year's WKC Best in Show winner, GCH Foxcliffe Hickory Wind, in the spotlight with her handler, Angela Lloyd. Hickory is a Scottish Deerhound.

- Cindy Vogels of Greenwood Village, Colo., will judge Best in Show on Tuesday night.
- William F. Potter II will judge the Terrier Group on Tuesday night. He is from St. Louis.
