The city awarded display spaces in the park by lottery this year. This is a sign put up by church groups protesting because atheists won most of the ones they usually use.
Damon Vix, a volunteer who handled much of the atheist display efforts sits before the American Atheists' space. It was protected by fencing and didn't suffer any vandalism.
