Tornado damage is still visible at several locations along Ryland Pike east of Huntsville, including Shiloh United Methodist Church.
Another location along Ryland Pike that was damaged by the tornado was along Old Ryland Gin Road.
These trees in the Piney Creek subdivision of Athens were permanently bent by the tornado.

This tree in the Houston Place Subdivision in Tanner has a piece of metal permanently embedded in it.
In this field near Smith Vasser Road in Harvest, an electric transmission tower damaged by the tornado is still bent in the same shape it was on the night of April 3, 1974. This area is very close to where a major tornado hit on April 27, 2011.
