10. Spider-Man: The New Adventures.
This MTV follow-up to the original 2002 Spider-Man film is notable for two reasons: 1) It was one of the first roles that returned Neil Patrick Harris to the public eye; 2) The computer animation made the whole cartoon look like it was animated by somebody playing The Sims.

- 9. The Crow: Stairway to Heaven. Eric Draven, a rock musician, and his fiancée are brutally murdered. Given the opportunity to exact vengeance, Draven returns to life in the form of avenging spirit, The Crow. It lasted one season in syndication.
- 8. The Batman. This cartoon focuses on the early adventures of The Dark Knight and re-imaginings of some of his greatest adversaries. Its tone is midway between the seriousness of Batman: The Animated Series and the goofy fun of Batman: The Brave and the Bold.
- 7. The Tick. In an underrated live-action version of the cult comic book, an earnest but dimwitted superhero fights crime, assisted by his sidekick, Arthur; the female Captain Liberty; and the egocentric Batmanuel. Any appearances to Wonder Women or Batmen either alive or dead is purely coincidental.
- 6. Swamp Thing. This show is the opposite of everything you know about Swamp Thing. Corny and campy, this show is the spiritual predecessor of shows like Hercules and Xena. Dr. Alec Holland, a walking stalk of broccoli, patrols the Louisiana bayous, protecting young Jim Kemp and his single mom Tessa from the machinations from the villainous Dr. Arcane and his creatures (and it is as cheesy as it sounds).
- 5. X-Men: Evolution. Remember when Xaviers School for Gifted Youngsters actually had youngsters in it? This version of the X-Men, while focusing more on the high school melodrama aspects, remains remarkably true to the fundamental tone of the characters.
- 4. Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. This 1990s show brought a light, romantic angle to the adventures of the Man of Steel. The villain of the week were secondary to the interplay between Lois Lane and Clark Kent. And theres a reason the image to the right was the most downloaded image of all time.
- 3. The Incredible Hulk. Dr. David (changed from Bruce in the comics) Banner is a scientist who, due to a radiation experiment gone wrong, changes into a green behemoth whenever agitated. Unable to control his tranformations, Banner lives a nomadic life, traveling from town to town in search of a cure, while avoiding reporter Jack McGee, who wants to expose Banner and the Hulk.
- 2. Batman: The Animated Series. This cartoon redefined The Dark Knight for a whole generation, and its level of polish became the gold standard for animated shows for years following. It also made Paul Dini a household word for super-hero fans worldwide.
- 1. Wonder Woman. Princess Diana of the Amazons fights for justice during the second World War in the guise of Diana Prince. In later seasons the show was shifted forward to the 70s as Prince worked for a secret government agency. And made millions of pre-teen American girls very dizzy in the process.
