Best Exile Moment: Coach starves himself ("Tocantins") - This was poetry. It was spiritual, dramatic, and just thoroughly entertaining. This led to Coach crafting a "Jesus stick" a la Mr. Eko in "Lost," losing an immunity challenge, and getting voted out.
Runner-up: "Earl Island" ("Fiji")
- Best Exile Moment: Coach starves himself ("Tocantins") - This was poetry. It was spiritual, dramatic, and just thoroughly entertaining. This led to Coach crafting a "Jesus stick" a la Mr. Eko in "Lost," losing an immunity challenge, and getting voted out. Runner-up: "Earl Island" ("Fiji")
- Best Jury Speech: Sue's "snake eats the rat" speech ("Borneo") - Did you really think it could be anything else? No one has summer up how jury voters should look at the game better, 20 seasons in. Runner-up: Corinne attacks Sugar ("Gabon")
- Worst Quit: Osten ("Pearl Islands") - Sure, this is probably made worse by everyone blowing it up because Osten looks like the last guy to ever quit "Survivor." Other people have thrown in the towel, but he was the first and theremore most dramatic. Runner-up: Jonny Fairplay ("Micronesia")
- Funniest Reason for Getting Voted out: Bobby gets drunk in the outhouse ("Panama") - In real life, people pass out in bathrooms all the time. In "Survivor," you don't mess with the Casa de Charmin! Runner-up: The beef jerky debacle ("Australia")
- Best Fight: Rupert vs. Fairplay ("Pearls Islands") -This was back when Rupert was Blackbeard the pirate and he was angry as can be over someone writing down his name. The fact that it was pitch black made this all the crazier. Runner-up: Kimmi vs. Alicia ("Australia")
- Best Idol Moment: Russell finds his first ("Samoa") - After a while, Russell finding idols became a joke (I think he just found one in his couch!) However, that first time he grabbed one without a clue, it was the stuff of legend. Runner-up: Yau-Man has an "evil moment" ("Fiji")
- Best Blindside: Bye, Ozzy ("Micronesia") - There's been a ton of good ones over the years, but Ozzy's was just so entertaining due to the look on his face and Eliza sitting on the jury. Runner-up: James ("China")
- Worst Injury: Mike Skupin ("Australia") - This is really only a two-person race, but Mike's injury was one of the most horrifying things I've ever seen on TV. Runner-up: Russell Swan ("Samoa")
- Best Twist: The fake merge ("Thailand") - Probably the only good thing to come out of Thailand, this was a hilarious way to see where people's loyalties were. (Too bad, Shii Ann.) Runner-up: The two-person Exile ("Tocantins")
- Weirdest Season: "Gabon" - This season was like the anti-"Survivor." All the archetype characters were blindsided early by a professional gamer, a pin-up girl, a person who got 4 seconds of screen time all season, and an Olympian who couldn't win a challenge to save her life. Runner-up: None
- Most shocking challenge moment: Richard offends Sue ("All Stars") - I bet CBS would like to forget Rich doing the "naked dance" on Sue ever happened. It was a key cog in him getting voted out, and ultimately Sue quitting. Very rarely has one moved shaped an entire season. Runner-up: Jenna and Heidi strip for food ("Amazon")
- Most Shocking Reward: Yau-Man gives Dreamz his car ("Fiji") - Sure, Yau-Man would have likely been booted anyway at the final four, the fact Dreamz kept the car after lying made this season actually worth remembering. Runner-up: Colby picks "Treasure Island" over Idol clue ("Heroes vs. Villains")
- Best Jeff Moment: Sue screams at him ("All-Stars"): Sue is great at causing drama, huh? He rant at Probst was made even better by the fact that he was really just an innocent bystander since Rich wasn't there to yell at. Runner-up: Kicking Ben out of the challenge ("Samoa")
- Best Tribal Set ("Thailand") - The place was beautiful, with all of the golf and Buddhist influences. We haven't seen another one like it. Runner-up: "Heroes vs. Villains"
- Best Location ("Palau") - I loved the beaches, the jungle, everything. The perfect island for "Survivor." Runner-up: "Micronesia"
- Best Character to Never Play Twice: Shane Powers ("Panama") - Shane was pure gold, from his mannerisms to his ability to get angry in about .4 seconds. We need more Shane! Runners-up: Twila Tanner ("Vanuatu"), Sean Rector ("Marquesas")
- Best Lie: Jonny's grandma died ("Pearl Islands") - This was awful, stupid, but also pretty funny. You know, just as long as grandma's still watching Jerry Springer and laughing about it. Runner-up: The girls promising Erik safety if he gives up immunity ("Micronesia")
- Funniest Family Moment: Colby loses it on his brother ("Heroes vs. Villains") - For some reason, Colby was madder about this challenge than any other moment on this season. How does that work? Runner-up: Coach and his Assistant Coach ("Tocantins")
- Best Player to Never Win: Cirie ("Micronesia") - Cirie was screwed in "Micronesia," mainly because everyone expected there to be a final three. If there was one, she'd be a millionaire right now. Runner-up: Russell ("Samoa")
- Most Underrated Player: Brian Heidik ("Thailand") - Sure, he's probably the most unlikable person ever, but the guy knew how to be evil in the game and still win over people. Russell needs to take lessons from this guy. Runner-up: Danni Boatwright ("Guatemala")
