In 1872 the James Brothers had prospered enough from robbing banks and trains to buy nice suits and have their photo made.
Jesse James was fresh-faced young man in the late 1860s just before being involved with numerous robberies and some murders.
10 years of being an outlaw gave Jesse James a much harder look on his face.
