- Lourdes Lebron, of Westchester, brought her Chihuahua mixes to the parade: (l to r) Lola, dressed as a princess; Touffy, dressed as 'Jailhouse Rock' and Munchie, dressed as a pumpkin.
- Macaroon, a Chihuahua mix, captured attention with her "butter" costume at the 2010 Halloween parade.
- Nicole Smith dressed her Belgian Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix Neeka as a bedbug.
- This dog seemed fairly comfortable wearing a bird costume and sitting in a nest.
- "Best in Show" winner Gracie, a pug, dressed as Scarlet O'Hara in "Gone with the Wind."
- Sarah Vanno dressed Oliver, a Long-haired Dachshund, in a poncho and hat for a Mexican look.
- Jennifer Pod with her Chinese Crested dog, Spooky. Pod is a Texas native who designs dog clothing, among other artistic pursuits.
- East Village residents Richard Christianson and Joseph Ingram dressed their Cocker Spaniel, Freeway, as a hot dog. They made all of the costumes themselves, using liberal amounts of hot glue.
- East Village resident Jennifer Moyer and her husband Daniel created "bed bug" costumes for toy poodles Fifi Gigi and Meteor.
- Gidget, a Brussels Griffon, wore a Las Vegas showgirl costume created by owner Lynne Correia.
- Karen Biehl, of the Upper West Side, and her Chihuahua, Eli. Pet fashion designer Roberto Negrin created Eli's look.
- Erika Searl’s dogs Cubby and Ginger dressed as Tompkins Square Park in the winter (l) and summer (r) seasons.
- Longhaired Chihuahuas Emmet and Meimei wore helmets and jackets as they rode in the basket of a red bicycle. These are not costumes, but are their everyday outfits, said owner Carlene Mahanna.
- Sauce, a Pomeranian, modeled a homemade "Tron" costume at the dog parade.
- Jay Russell and Don Birge identified "Fleet Week" as the inspiration for their Havanese Andy's sailor costume. It was their first time at the Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade.
- Rottweiler mix Jackson wore a lumberjack costume, complete with plastic axe and hunter's cap. Dog-sitter Heather Doll found his plaid shirt at a thrift store just hours before the parade.
- Medical student and pet fashion designer Roberto Negrin transformed his toy poodle, Hec-lin, into an African Princess. Two of Negrin's designs won prizes at the 2010 dog parade.
