- Contagion (September 9th). Steven Soderbergh and an all-star cast take on the apocalypse.
- Warrior (September 9th). Early buzz indicates this film about two fighting brothers, with great leads, is one of the best so far this year.
- Drive (September 16th). Speaking of best of the year, this action thriller that won Best Director at Cannes already has Oscar talk.
- Straw Dogs (September 16th). Normally, I despise remakes. But Rod Lurie is a fascinating filmmaker, and this project has potential to work.
- Dolphin Tale (September 23rd). Cute injured animal + inspirational true story + Morgan Freeman = hit for families.
- Killer Elite (September 23rd). I have no indication that this will be good. But Jason Statham and Clive Owen indicate that I as a man will be entertained.
- Machine Gun Preacher (September 23rd). Gerard Butler stars in the gritty true story of a vigilante preacher in Africa.
- Moneyball (September 23rd). Aaron Sorkin can write. Bennett Miller can direct. And this cast can act. No reason this shouldn't be an immensely watchable film.
- 50/50 (September 30th). Some of our best young actors give us a very promising dramedy on getting cancer while young.
- Dream House (September 30th). Why should you care about another haunted house film? Because Jim Sheridan has made great indies, and this cast carries serious weight.
