- The Ides of March (October 7th): An all-star cast headlines a Clooney-directed political drama sure to capture Oscar buzz.
- Real Steel (October 7th): As a major skeptic, I've heard this will actually be a good family film, largely due to Jackman's appealing performance.
- The Swell Season (October 7th): A docu following the couple from Once, one of the best movies of the last decade, is near the top of my most-anticipated list.
- Margin Call (October 21st): This well-reviewed film about the investment bank crisis aired at Sundance and boasts a great cast.
- Martha Marcy May Marlene (October 21st): Elizabeth Olsen has some serious Oscar buzz surrounding her performance as a former cult member.
- Paranormal Activity 3 (October 21st): The newest sequel to the most entertaining horror franchise currently running looks appropriately terrifying.
- In Time (October 28th): Hopefully this sci-fi film from Andrew Niccol is closer to Niccol's Gattaca than to Niccol's S1m0ne.
- Johnny English Reborn (October 28th): I'm a huge fan of Rowan Atkinson and the first Johnny English, so I anticipate this to be a delightful, kid-friendly follow-up.
- Like Crazy (October 28th): This romance won Grand Jury Prizes at Sundance for Best Dramatic Film and Best Actress for Felicity Jones.
- The Rum Diary (October 28th): Johnny Depp has a good record of tackling Hunter S. Thompson projects, so this, directed by the man responsible for Withnail & I, should be on your radar.
