- Valinda Rowe of IllinoisCarry explains why she demands right-to-carry legislation.
- Colleen Lawson, one of the named plaintiffs in the McDonald v. Chicago lawsuit, spoke about her hope that it would change life in Chicago. This year we'll be discussing what the victory in that suit means.
- Richard Pearson, President of the Illinois State Rifle Association, spoke on the ISRA's part in bringing suit in McDonald.
- Vice President of the ISRA, Mike Weisman, addressed Chicago and Illinois restrictions.
- Father Thomas Janikowski of Galesburg, President of the Knox County Riflemen, spoke on his understanding of self-defense and Christian scripture.
- The late Ralph Conner of the Congress Of Racial Equality spoke on the history of gun control motivated by racism in America. Sadly, Mr. Conner passed away this spring. He'll be missed at SAFR this year.
- Mick Paskiewicz of Students for Concealed Carry on Campus explained that college campuses do not have what Robb Allen calls "magical anti-gun force fields."
- Father Michael Pfleger and three protesters came with signs and scowls . . . . but they were welcomed with smiles and handshakes.
