- Thread your #13 needle with roughly 3 feet of fishing line. Place two chains together so that the direction of the links are the same. Feed needle through links in the manner shown in these first three slides.
- Continue by inserting needle down through a link. Pull taut, but be careful not to tear.
- Finally feed needle through the link to the left. Continue in this manner around entire chains. Stitch both sides of chains.
- Attach to additional chains in the same manner. You should have a circular piece four chains high. It is easier to add the bottom at this height. Additional chains will be added later.
- Create bottom with the other links from Part I. Link together 4 chains of 24 links each. Stitch together in the same manner as in Steps 1, 2, and 3. When complete the bottom should look like the picture.
- Stitch on side of the bottom to one side of the purse body.
- Attach the other side in the same manner.
- Push the corners into the purse body and stitch to close. Repeat all stitching on inside of purse as well.
- Add remaining 60 link chains to top of purse, stitching inside and out.
- *Hint When hiding ends of cut lines put needle through link and feed short pieces through links to hide them.
