Taken back in 1970 with a Kodak Instamatic camera, this sunset image helped me focus on becoming a photographic observationalist.
In addition to the corona (rainbow-like pattern in upper right corner), this image is full of atmospheric wave patterns.
This bee hung around this thistle flower long enough for me to capture it at work.
A series of waves is heading for the shore. But near left edge, there is a reflected wave pattern moving toward the right.
This view of the Canadian Rockies, with glacial cirque patterns and snow cover, makes for an incredibly patterned image.
