Yes, these red phone booths are everywhere in London -- and they work too!

- The author at the Victoria & Albert Museum, which I highly recommend. Again, give yourself more than a day to visit this site, or at least make it an all-day excursion, there's so much to see! I believe this was an Elizabethan ruffle! When in Rome ... er, London, do as Londoners do!
- This is one of the prettiest buildings I saw in London and, unfortunately, I don't know its name. Anyone know, please email me!! (It's right by Russell Square.)
- Royal guard at the Tower of London, where the Crown Jewels are kept. And yes, they really do stand this still (and no, I was NOT an obnoxious American & did not try to make 'em laugh.)
- And THIS is what Londoners have all over town -- sort of like those phone booths. Only it reads "TOILET" in giant letters ... and ya gotta pay to get in there!! They actually use the word "toilet" as opposed to, say, bathroom, restroom, etc.
- Europeans love their bicycles! (Of course, can you see us riding bikes all over Houston ... or America for that matter?? OK, maybe Lance Armstrong, but surely not me.)
- This is the Imperial War Museum in London, showcasing Englands Imperial war might. (Ever heard that the sun never sets on the British Empire?)
- This is a typical London street. When I read Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens, this is exactly how I pictured the streets in my mind's eye. And they all pretty much look like this. You never know what's just around the corner!
- Apparently London is a popular place to protest in. This is just of the many protests we witnessed while there.
- Noooo I didn't take this myself. I just thought it was a neat pic!
