- Precita Eyes Muralists Association was founded in 1977 by Susan and Luis Cervantes. The name comes from ‘Precita’ (most of the original muralists were from Precita Valley) and ‘Eyes’ (what we perceive the visual world with, our eyes).
- The multi-cultural and multi-generational mural, Maestrapeace, covers two exterior walls of The Women's Building.
- Maestrapeace is the result of 1 1/2 years of intensive research and planning by a broad range of community organizations and 100+ individuals and the collaboration of 7 women artists painting for 13 months (1993-1994).
- The mural uncovers many important moments, contributions, individuals, and groups of women and girls, legendary and unsung, who have liberated humanity from all forms of oppression.
- The design also uses fabric patterns from around the world as decorative elements.

- The Redstone Labor Temple (formerly known as “The San Francisco Labor Temple”), constructed by the San Francisco Labor Council Hall Associates, was dedicated in 1914 and the grand opening was held in 1915.
- The Redstone Labor Temple Mural Project, interior murals painted by The Clarion Alley Mural Project (CAMP), was dedicated in 1997. Six of the murals depict the activities of the labor unions in the building from 1914 to 1966.
- Misión San Francisco de Asís is the primary remaining physical monument of the Spanish Empire and Mexican Republic in the Bay Area, and the oldest intact church nave in California.
