Start with 4 empty juice pouches. Use a knife to cut a slit in the bottom of the pouch. Rinse each pouch with water, then allow to dry thoroughly.

- Overlap two pouches to create a panel that is 9 1/2 inches in length. This will be one side of the pencil bag.
- Sew the two bags together directly down the center. Repeat this process to create a second panel. This will give you the front and the back of the pencil bag.
- Sew the 8 inch zipper to the inside of one of the panels, leaving the very ends of the zipper loose so they can be tucked in. Sew the zipper to the very top edge.
- Repeat for the second panel.
- Tuck in the edges of the zipper on each end, then sew the bag down the sides and the bottom to create the finished pencil bag.
