- A long boardwalk takes you through the swamp and offers the chance to see the park's rich wildlife.
- Hiking trails are flat and easy to walk. The woods are cool on a warm sunny day.
- A green heron was within 30 feet of the boardwalk, unusually close for this typically shy bird.
