- Make sure the last stitch is on the same end of the afgan so that the ends can be evened up.
- Join the strips together. Place two loops from the right strip on the hook, then two loops from the left strip. Pull the right loops over the left loops and off the hook.
- After you make enough strips, lay them out and decide on a pattern. This lets you use odd skeins of yarn. Most skeins yeild 3 to 4 strips.
- Use a loom to make strips. Insert the hook under the top loop on the left, yarn up from the back of the loom, and work a single crochet.
