- Selecting the wave height button brings up the overall map. You can click on any lake for a specific detail. Using either the arrow controls or the text links in the center portion of the menu, you can get forecast wave height information for a specific timeframe.
- This wave period area shows wave periods in seconds.
- Wind speed and wind direction flagsare shown on this depiction. Further clicks will take you to a specific lake and continued clicks take you to more detailed forecasting for winds in your area.

- If we look at the page here, we can see that there are specific zones that we can click for further information. Clicking on the shoreline band for the eastern edge of the lake, we can select the Saugatuck area (or Muskegon, South Haven, St. Joseph)
- As the result of that selection, we now have a "Marine Point Forecast" narrowed down to a specific area - Saugatuck. Here we can see a graphical or text-based depiction of forecasts, current winds, visibility, temperature - and convenient links for both radar and satellite graphical data.
