- It all started with the first: 1967 Camaro Z28.
- '67 Camaro Z28 didn't look much different from any other '67, except for rally stripes. There were no identifying Z28 emblems.
- '67-'69 Camaro Z28 featured a 302-cid made from a 327-cid 4.0" bore and short-stroke 283-cid crank.
- Many owners add the '69 cowl induction hood on earlier models, such as this '67 RS.
- Though not a Z28, this '68 Camaro shows no vent windows but has side marker lights, key distinctions from '67.
- '68 Camaro with added '69 cowl hood, has fully round wheel wells and a mostly flat grill.
- '69 Camaro Z28 has a more prominent grill and squared off wheel well openings.
- Many consider the '69 Camaro Z28 the best of the first-gen models.
- The Z28 disappeared for '75-'76, but returned on the '77 Camaro.
- Early '70-'73 Z28s could combine the Rally Sport split bumper option. Later the RS option became separate, as seen by this '77 model.
- Eventually the Camaro Z28 gained fender flares, covered bumpers, a new style cowl hood, and graphics.
- IROC package was available starting in '85 on the Z28. Notice the t-tops, a trend that continued to prove popular in the '80s.
- '88-'90 IROC-Z models have slightly different wheels and the graphics moved to the rear of the door.
- The 2014 Z28 proves yet again that Camaro is a serious performer as originally intended.
- 2014 Camaro Z28 is only offered with a 6-speed manual transmission. AC is an option and not standard.
