- This map contained three dimensional sketches of most of the 29 buildings in the fort. From this information, architectural drawings could be created.
- Note the types of cannon used in 1607. The one on the right was used to lob large shells short distances or fire grape shot.
- On the east side of Sabino Head, the colonists established gardens for growing English vegetables.
- This was the largest building in the colony (roughly 18 feet by 63 feet) It was used to store all goods owned by the Plymouth Company or the colony as a whole.
- Although the "citadel" was a very serious threat to enemy sheeps, without being garrisoned by large numbers of infantry, it was vulnerable 24 hours a day to being overrun by enemy infantry.
- In the foreground you can see two of the other types of cannon used at Fort St. George. On right-center is the dome-topped baking oven.
- The square in front of the public buildings was to be a public market place in the future.
