As this weeks Single of the Week, iTunes is offering The Hard Road, a preview track from a new collaboration from producer Brian Danger Mouse Burton (one half of Gnarls Barkley and Danger Doom) and Shins front man James Mercer. The pair, working under the name Broken Bells, will release a full-length CD on March 9. But you can have the single for free until next Tuesday.

- Peasant is Damien DeRose, a 23-year-old poet-turned-musician, from Bucks County, PA, who records in a converted studio in the woods, inspired by the likes of "Pet Sounds" and Nick Drake. The sound is sweet, simple and pretty, reminiscent of Blind Pilot and Fleet Fixes.
