What is Tretinoin
Tretinoin is the acid form of vitamin A introduced to treat acne more than 30 years ago. It was the first retinoid--a type of chemical compound related to vitamin A--used topically to treat acne. Tretinoin is related to but should not be confused with retinol, the animal form of vitamin A (a fat-soluble vitamin important in vision and bone growth).
Tretinoin: Retin-A, Renova, Etc.
Retin-A and Renova are two trademarks for products containing tretinoin and retinoic acid. Other names include All-Trans Retinoic Acid (ATRA), Aberela, Airol, Atralin, Avita, and Stieva-A. People who used these tretinoin products to treat acne began to notice improvements in their overall facial appearance after regular use.
Tretinoin in Skin-Care Products
Today tretinoin is found in some non-prescription skin-care products designed to fight the appearance of aging, such as the sun damage found in Nashville. It is used to treat and reduce the appearance, fine lines, wrinkles and stretch marks by increasing collagen production in the dermis--the layer of skin between the epidermis and subcutaneous tissues.
How Tretinoin Works
Tretinoin causes the outermost skin layer to thin while at the same time stimulating the cells in the epidermis level to produce a thicker epidermis layer. This stimulation causes increased collagen production and cellular growth in the dermis layer.
There is research to suggest tretinoin may aid in identifying and treating certain early skin cancers.
Tretinoin - Warnings
Tretinoin has been linked to birth defects and should not be used by pregnant women, or women who are seeking to become pregnant.

I've struggled with my skin. Cleared up with Melody, then broke out some with Keith and more with Carissa, so thought Carissa would be a boy, now just asked, do you break out when pregnant with autism spectrum kids? Not seriously, but thought went through my mind. You could do more on pregnancy and skin needs. I continued breaking out until Carissa was over a year and we got Proactive for me. Then I tried something else when it seemed to not be as effective, the drying effect of which I've never recovered fromm. I need more free ideas until I can afford more. Thanks. God one again.
use egyptian magic if u want moisturize for ur skin its really helpful
Good one again.
Did you try the Neutrogena Clincal with the rebate? I am trying their eye treatment now, but they also had skin care -- it was free with the rebate! I will say my eyes have been red ever since I started the Neutrogena eye treatment. I also posted a $10 store bucks offer from Walgreens with a $10 Neutrogena purchase -- another way to get stuff for free. I am enjoying my free soap!
I will post more "deals" as I see them.
