Today, Saturday, October 3, 2009, is definitely a remarkable day for Los Angeles.
The opening of the Venice Beach Skate Park finally took place and, with the sanctioning of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and City Councilman Bill Rosendahl, it cannot be any more official.

It has been a long journey for locals Jesse Martinez, Geri Lewis, Lance LeMond, Steve Mayorga and the rest of the members of the Venice Surf and Skateboarding Association (VSA) but they definitely deserve all the props for what was accomplished.
Once the ribbon was cut, the session went wild, with new and old school skaters dropping into the bowl in a memorable session: Christian Hosoi, Ben Harada, Eric “Tuma” Britton, Pat Ngoho, Eddie Reategui…
There is just too many names to mention right now, but don’t fret – this column will be following up on the story, as it has been doing for quite a while. For now, it is just breaking the news (before any other medium?).

Great day so unreal park is sick and on the way home I hit up Kogi bbq and saw the KST Crew chillin at the Brig and got some dank taco's, what a day!
