In a quest for fairness and unbiased coverage, this column must report that Tony Hawk and Bam Margera are also appearing as virtual dress up paper dolls online.
Allegedly, the first professional skateboarder to show up on Stardoll.com was Ryan Sheckler, which caused a bit of commotion amid the skateboarding community.
However, soon after this article was published, Sheckler was removed from the site.
There is also a companion domain – paperdollheaven.com – featuring the same Hawk and Margera dolls ands their respective wardrobes.
Stardoll targets a demographic of girls and boys between the ages of 9 and 17 and, as of July 2009, attracts 35 million unique users a month, according to Wikipedia,
The same source also reveals that Stardoll has “experienced controversy around their use of celebrity likenesses without permission from the celebrities' management.”

Comments
FYI - Tony has now been removed from the site as well. They are infringing on athlete and celebrity likenesses without permission, which is illegal. I'm very surprised that they haven't been shut down completely.
