Opening in December, 2008, the Memorial Park skatepark in Colorado Springs remains the busiest in the city and one of the most popular in the state.

At over 40,000 square feet, Memorial skatepark offers skaters of every level opportunities to show off their old tricks and try new ones. Deep bowls, small ramps, trick boxes, and assorted rails create a park where it is possible to set up a line across the concrete or work on a single trick for hours.

Memorial skatepark does not require visitors to wear pads, and bikes are allowed. Despite the fact that there are no lights to facilitate night skating, the park remains busy almost year-round. Even on a cold winter morning with fresh snow on the ground, the dedicated skaters and bikers will come with shovels and towels to clear off their favorite areas.

Across the internet, Coloradans have been voicing their opinions of Memorial skatepark. People from all around the state visit the park consistently, and on websites for other skateparks in the area, comments constantly pop up about abandoning other parks in favor of Memorial.

Memorial Park skatepark remains one of the best parks in Colorado Springs, if not in the whole state, and it is definitely worth a visit.
