How are you celebrating Halloween Safety Month? Are you, as a single mom, teaching your children all of the necessary safety rules? Sure you are. Here is are some more safety rules to take into consideration before heading out to Trick-or-Treat in Bangor, Maine.

Single moms have an added responsibility to ensure their childrens' safety at Halloween, especially if dad is not in the picture. Here are some general costume safety rules for your consideration:
- Costumes need to be fire retardent.
- Masks are not a good idea because children cannot see as well when wearing them.
- Costumes should not be too long, to prevent tripping.
- Children should have reflectors attached to their costumes.
