Single moms in the Bangor, Maine area are always looking for fun activities to share with their children. Doing these actvivities can help to prevent boredom and bring your family closer together. Autumn is a great time to create projects with your children.
What types of activities can single moms do with their children for autumn? There are many choices, and this article will give you a few ideas to begin.
- Create an Autumn in Bangor scrapbook. Allow your children to take pictures, and take some yourself. Photograph autumn yard decoration scenes, tress, your children doing autumn activities such as raking and building a scarecrow, and autumn in the parks. Cascade Park is a great place to start. Photograph your children at the playground as well, with the autumnal trees behind them. When the pictures are developed, allow your children to create scrapbook pages of their own. Do so yourself as well. Everyone should journal about their thoughts and memories of the day on their pages.
- Do a craft project with your children. Create autumn themed magnets to hang on the refrigerator. Using sheets of craft foam and markers, draw and cut out autumn shapes such as leaves and acorns. Feel free to make the different colored parts on different sheets and glue them together. Then glue a magnet strip to the back. It is also possible to turn these into ornaments by deleting the magnet step and stringing them with thread and a needle. Materials for these projects can be found at A.C. Moore.
- Make some decorative wreaths for your doors and windows. Jo-Ann Fabric has all of the materials that you will need, as well as project directions.
These projects can be a lot of fun for moms to do with their children. Take some time to collect the materials that you need with your children. Allow them to help in choosing the materials that will be needed. Have fun!
