There are many autumn fun activities that single mom families can enjoy. Single moms in Bangor, Maine may not be able to find many of these specific autumn activities right in their city, but they will find that many take place close enough to home to travel to with their children.
Penobscot County has quite a few farms that offer great autumn activities that a single mom can share with her children. Here is a list of the farms and the autumn activities provided:
- Burgess Farm in Newport has a pumkin patch and tractor-pulled hay rides.
- Rocky Ridge Farm in Corinth offers a pick-your-own pumkin patch, and sells small bales of hay and other items for autumn decorating.
- Simons Hancock Farm is located in the Hancock-Ellsworth area. They have a corn maze and pumpkins. They also have an annual Pumpkin Daze fair.
- Treworgy Family Orchards, located in Levant, offers an apple orchard and hay rides, They also have a petting zoo.
Maine also offers autumn festivals:
- Leonard's Mills in Bradley, offers Living History Days October 3 & 4. This is a great time to enjoy old traditions and the fall foliage of the area.
- The Sunday River Fall Festival is held on October 10 & 11.
- Waterville has a Harvest Fest on October 18. Enjoy hay rides, pumpkin carving and bowling, scarecrow building and more.
