Is Baxter International's swine flu vaccine a godsend, a scam, or something worse?

Okay, I guess I’m stepping over to the dark side. I'm becoming a conspiracy theorist. A commenter on my previous column said I should check out Baxter. I didn't know what that meant, but I googled 'swine flu baxter.' Wow! I’m now convinced there absolutely is something weird going on, but you be the judge:

1. Last December, Baxter International’s Austria branch sent out 72 kilos of what was supposed to be a batch of ordinary human H3N2 flu, altered so it could not replicate, to another Austrian research company, Avir Green Hills Biotechnology. Avir then sent it to several of their subcontractors. In February, A lab worker at the subcontractor in Czech Republic injected the substance in ferrets, a routine precaution in that country. All the ferrets died. Turns out what Baxter International had actually sent out was live avian flu virus. The World Health Organization claims to be closely monitoring the investigation. However…

2. In spite of that colossal screw up, Baxter International was given the swine flu virus in June, 2009 by the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta.

3. Baxter International filed a patent related to making vaccine August 28, 2008, patent # 20090060950a1. I read on one of those ‘conspiracy sites’ that Baxter had ‘patented the swine flu vaccine a year before they were given the swine flu virus to work with.’ I’m a skeptic, so I dug up the patent and waded through the verbiage. It is not a patent on a swine flu vaccine; rather, it is a patent on an improved method of making vaccines. However, this bit of gobbledygook caught my eye. “In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the sample is treated with an effective concentration of formalin for about 12 to about 96 hours.” I thought, that’s kind of vague. But when you keep reading, they narrow it down to 24 to 48 hours, then to 24 to 30 hours, then “In an especially preferred embodiment of the present invention, the sample is treated with an effective concentration of formalin for about 24 to 24.5 hours. Those with skill in the vaccine arts will recognize that formalin concentration and treatment times may need to be optimized for the particular strain of virus treated in order to effect complete inactivation.” If the time for treatment with formaldehyde has to be varied to suit the virus, how were they able to be so specific about the time needed, “24 to 24.5 hours”?

4. On July 16, 2009, Baxter International announced it had orders for 80 million doses of its swine flu vaccine, from 5 countries (not including the US, where the drug hasn’t been approved yet) and wouldn’t be taking any more orders. They also announced they would be ready to ship by the end of July or early August… a vaccine for a virus they just obtained from the Centers for Disease Control in June!

5. Ground zero for the Swine flu outbreak seems to be La Gloria, a pig farming village in Mexico. La Gloria is about 50 miles from Cuernavaca, Mexico, where Baxter International has a facility employing 1400 people.

6. Reading an article at Natural news, I found this little gem: “According to reports in the mainstream media (which has no reason to lie about this particular detail), this strain of influenza contains viral code fragments from:

• Human influenza

• Bird Flu from North America

• Swine flu from Europe

• Swine flu from Asia

For this to have been a natural combination of viral fragments, it means an infected bird from North America  would have had to infect pigs in Europe, then be re-infected by those some pigs with an unlikely cross-species mutation that allowed the bird to carry it again, then that bird would have had to fly to Asia and infected pigs there, and those Asian pigs then mutated the virus once again (while preserving the European swine and bird  elements) to become human transmittable, and then a human would have had to catch that virus from the Asian pigs — in Mexico! — and spread it to others in order to assist the World Health Organization in developing a new vaccine, reaping billions in the process. ”

I don’t know about billions, but… What do you suppose is the wholesale price of a single shot? Whatever price you come up with, multiply that by 80 million doses. Surely no one, no company, no matter how greedy, could be crass enough to deliberately infect the human race with a laboratory created virus just to sell medicine.

Could they?

Glad to see someone actually writing about something that matters. Northcom may be administering the vaccines to us this fall, against our will. Wake up America, before you and your children end up maimed or dead. Just as 911 Truth reveals something very horrible about this country....intentional depopulation via weaponized vaccines is by no means any worse than a controlled demolition of the twin towers to create "a new pearl harbor." Its the same thing here, only different actors.

I cannot believe you and your publisher allowed you to publish this biased article enciting potential public panic.
It is indeed bordering on a hate crime.
You have no academic credentials as a scientist nor MD.
I suggest you and your newspaper offer a written apology to Baxter International for this slander before you are prosecuted.

If this isn't slanderous, I don't know what is. Get ready for the legal paperwork in the mail, Bill. You've gone too far this time.

First of all, slander is "Oral communication of false statements injurious to a person's reputation." The word you're looking for is "libelous." So if I were to call you a moron to your face, that might be slanderous, but in print it can only be ibelous.
Second, by definition it isn't libelous either unless it can be proven to be a false statement. Since it's my true opinion that you're a moron, how are you going to prove that's a false statement?
Third, show me the false statement in the story about Baxter International. I see a lot of facts, and some questions raised. Is it now illegal to raise questions? What happened to free speech?

    According to bcbs.com/news
"The government has ordered 12.8 million doses of pandemic vaccine from MedImmune for $151 million, Dr. Robinson said."
That works out to $11.80 per shot. So if Basxter is carging the same, 80 mil shots would be $943 million. Foir that kind of money I can believe theyd ingage in some hankypanky.

For further interest - also check into (Google or otherwise) the 1976 outbreak of swine flu & the 1979 60 Minutes news report of those who were damaged by the vaccine. Does anyone know if there any truth to the statements made that Baxter has been granted immunity for any damages resulting in the H1N1 vaccine?

Mr Underwood, do not give way to the ad hominem nor sleepy mental state of those who suggest raising these questions is going to far.

It is ridiculous not to question, especially when one has suspicious material directly from the public sources. To not see that is proof of the sad state of affairs implied by many of the other sources weighing in on the situation.

For those of us still able to formulate an independent thought, we are able to realize that what we are capable of or would do does not translate to what everyone else can or will.

The idea that the end of that scale we don't like can somehow never end up being in the places we fear they may be right now, is of course absurd.

History teaches us that lesson, if we will listen.
It also teaches us a different one if we don't.

i dont understand why it is so bad to express concerns on a possible outbreak that threatens humanity's freedoms (whatever they are).

There is a very plausible reason for a 40+ billion dollar company to create a virus to infect the world:

    PLEASE CHECK THIS OUT!!!:
    Google: "swine flu vaccination squalene"
or "Will There Be Immune Adjuvants in Swine Flu Vaccines"

I dont get how people dont see that, its not about making money off this vaccine, but off of the problems people will be faced with later on in life, in turn needing to take 100's of different medications for this and that. What happens then? Well lets just say that as long as people are sick, "Pharma. Co." whatever is always going to be raking in the money...

people shouldnt believe the conspiracies, they should do their own G*D D*MN research and figure it out for themselves. All conspiracies are good for is sparking the curiosity to dig deeper, and to have someone say, "you're not alone"

I'm amazed at how some people commenting here can defend a corporation that nearly caused a global pandemic (millions could have died) by shipping deadly live viruses in vaccines to over fifteen countries along with other crimes against humanity and got payed to do it all. If you have any idea what bio safety level three is then you should know that it's impossible to "accidentally" mix ANYTHING inside of a lab unless done deliberately. Even if this wasn't deliberate why is Baxter still pumping out millions of doses of vaccine? Oh, that's right! Vaccine companies now have legal immunity from any death and illness they may cause. Look it up, vaccine manufacturers are now above the law. It's better to be concerned and prepared instead of living in la-la-land where everything is fine and people can do no evil. Peace and long life to all. May you find at least one shred of truth in this twisted world before you die.

Very courageous article, written in the spirit of freedom and truth. How very foolish it would be to trust putting a Baxter product into your body – Baxter was forced to admit that they produced a product with live avian flu virus in it. What’s even worse is that the product was mixed with normal human flu viruses, which could have caused “reassortment”, one of only 2 ways pandemic flu viruses are created! How reassuring, when asked for an explanation, a Baxter spokesman said the ‘mistake’ was the result of “just the process itself, (and) technical and human error”, and that he couldn’t reveal more information because “it would give away proprietary information about Baxter’s production process”. Yeah. Right. (google: Toronto Sun Baxter live avian flu virus) The real questions for sheeple are, “why hasn’t this become a very major news story” and, “Why is Baxter not being raked over the coals for nearly causing a pandemic?”

You didn't say one damning thing! The only thing you brought up is that the outbreak "seems" to have started near the lab. Your evidence for them creating swine flu is that you can't explain the subtleties of their patented process, which doesn't exist, btw. Besides the fact that what all those flus have in common is that they area all flu viruses, your explanation for this supposed "discrepancy" demonstrates absolutely ZERO scientific knowledge or even basis in reality. Just another fraud looking for his fifteen minutes, I say.

Because arguments don't rest on their merits but on the credentials of those who make them. Excellent logic.

"I suggest you and your newspaper offer a written apology to Baxter International for this slander before you are prosecuted."

Yes, because we all know that governments and large corporations would NEVER do anything wrong, they are absolutely benevolent and would never harm anyone.

and if they do prosecute anyone for free expression that would also be a crime to humanity and it would just be more evidence that their position does not stand up to scrutiny in the free marketplace of ideas.

I have been wondering since Late October why our news hasnt been pointing out some of these facts. Baxter infects Vaccine with H5n1 bird flu.. Baxter infects Plasma with HIV 1 & 2. Baxter shares patent with Dyncorp (private soldiers for hire) patents (4) all related to growing their vaccine material in diseased African Green Monkeys. Google Dyncorp.. woe.. there are some lovely stories about their actions.. And hmm.. they help patrol the American / Mexican border where the original flu broke out. Months before Ukraine is infected, Man arrested.. name of Joseph Moshe who called into a radio show saying he wanted to give evidence that Baxter was going to infect the Ukraine with a virus. Hes arrested, tear gassed.. He disappears.. called crazy (microbiologist).. I dunno.. was he psychic? Doubt it. Either Baxter is criminal or completely incompetent. By all means.. get the Vaccine because Baxter makes it folks and they have such a stellar reputation.

Dr.PQ's reaction is expected. Many American medical doctors react this way when you question their expertise in the area of vaccinations. According to many of them, the medical establishment as never been wrong. That all drug production is humanitarian and money never enters the picture. That is as ridiculous as Dr. PQ's reaction to this column. For those who put blind faith in vaccinations, wake up and see the reality. We all need to make better decisions about our health care and American vaccination policy would be a great place to start.

I am a tYPE 1 DIABETIC (SINCE AGE 2) and am supposedly in the High Risk category for all flu. I have had 1 flu vaccine in my 35 year life, and that was the year I was hospitalised for 2 weeks with an 'indeterminable lung infection' (straight off my medical record). That was the ONLY year I suffered from the flu. My daughter will not be getting this or any influenza vaccine and my wife wholeheartedly agrees. Companies are the progenators of these 'scaremongering' tactics, then governments blindly fold and take the easy way out.. Don't become a patsy!
