Joan Russell has a B.A. in Journalism/Communications from the University of Bridgeport and an A.S. in Food Service Management from Naugatuck Valley Technical Community College. She writes online and for print publications about food, gardening, health, travel, and other general interest subjects. She has written articles for online sites like E-How and Catalog.com. She has written a few articles for the Christian Science Monitor for Kids Space about children's book authors and history of food. She will write about day trips for families in the Hartford area, places to dine, museums, gardens and great places to go with children.
